The Choice Is Yours
The Men’s Health Network’s objective was clear: Encourage Black and Hispanic men, aged 18-64, to address their apprehensions regarding the Covid-19 vaccine.
By January 2024, 69% of Americans had completed their vaccination, yet only 15% had opted for an updated booster. The highest levels of hesitancy were found among Black and Hispanic communities, largely due to misinformation or a lack of clarity surrounding the safety of mRNA-based vaccines.
To engage and inform this audience about vaccine functionality, the various protein-based vaccines available, and to dispel myths concerning the efficacy and safety of Covid-19 vaccines, we turned to the iconic Hip Hop track “The Choice Is Yours” by Dres Titus, founder of the Hip Hop duo, Black Sheep. This initiative became a genuine collaboration that highlighted the impact of the song, encapsulating the message: “You can get with this (receiving the vaccine and enjoying life) or you can get with that (risking your health and that of your loved ones).”
